I've recently (in the last six months) been exploring what it means to have an anxious personality - and finding that it's been with me my whole life, defining virtually every major and minor decision that I've made.
I'm interested both in how this has restricted my choices, and how it has shaped my life choices, my life at home, my relationships, and my service to the world. It hasn't all been bad - in fact, some of the choices that I'm most proud of can be related to my tendency to anxiety.
Sadly, there are also many unhelpful choices that can also be traced to this aspect of my personality.
This blog is about exploring 54 years of anxiety - in the hopes that it will lead to a reduction of the negative impacts, and an embracing of anxiety as something that will be with me for my whole life, but doesn't have to limit my options.
Welcome
Anxiety is the topic. Health is the hope. Making anxiety a helpful friend is the strategy. Join me in the journey - you are most welcome.

Thanks for starting this blog David. I am very happy you have done so. I too have lived with anxiety for my entire life. It has been both a blessing and a challenge, sometimes both at the same time. I have read alot about trying to overcome it, manage it and/or embrace it, none of which I have really succeeded in doing yet but I continue to try to get there.
